OH, HOLY SHIT, THE MOVIE THE ADVENTURES OF FORD FAIRLANE IS ON ENCORE RIGHT THIS MINUTE!
WITH ANDREW DICE CLAY BEFORE HE GOT ALL OLD AND CREEPY!
AND A KOALA!
AND LAUREN HOLLY IN THE ROLE SHE'D RATHER WE NEVER, EVER MENTION AGAIN, THANKS.
GO!
TIVO IT!
GO!
RUN!!
(I cannot be held responsible if you hate it.)
(Actually, I haven't seen it in fifteen years. It's possible I may hate it now.)
(Am willing to take that chance.)

I'd forgotten all about the Diceman! Did the movie live up to your expectations?

I am all for kitschy humor, but Ford Fairlane? Not so much, how about Tommy Boy with Chris Farley -- which was on last night. Now that's funny!

Did you see the Vick news???
NFL star Michael Vick will plead guilty to federal conspiracy charges involving illegal dogfighting, one of his attorneys confirms to CNN.
Wonder how long he will be locked up for?!?

I probably shouldn't be sharing this info ... but way back in 1980s, some friends and I went to see his standup gig, and I got yelled at by the Diceman himself ... which was totally justified on his part because I, being extremely drunk on tequila shots, kept yelling out the punchlines to his jokes! In my defense, I think he should have had some new material ... he was doing all his old shit that I had seen on his videos I had watched 100 times! Anyway, it was an ugly scene (a girl in front of me told me to shut up, I declared I was going to kick her ass, and then proceded to throw up EVERYWHERE).
So, anytime the subject of Andrew Dice comes up (which happens freakishly much more often than it should), I get to tell this story ... I was starting to tell it to a group of new friends from work a few months ago, and before I got to the part about Dice yelling at me, one of my new friends says, "Hey, I think I was at that same concert! Dice totally went off on this drunk girl in the audience! I remember telling my boyfriend (now her husband) that I felt so sorry for her." Nice! Who knows how many other people recount MY story when Dice comes up? I totally feel like a legend!

There is a movie that I haven't seen in YEARS, back when Dice was cool, not annoying..... Actually I don't know if anyone should even admit they have SEEN it. :)

damn, the last time I told people to go watch a movie that was so bad it was good I got banned from ever making another movie suggestion.
I STILL think Soulplane is funny as hell while drinking a bottle of wine but apparently I'm the only one.
Hopefully Diceman lives up to your expectations. ehe
