Hey, everyone - I'll announce the caption winner as soon as I finish reading them.
'Til then, maybe you'll read this?
Barbie, my trainer, is participating in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day For The Cure Walk. She didn't ask me to solicit donations, but I'm doing it anyway. Please consider helping Barbie reach her fund-raising goal if for no reason other than her not making me do this with her this weekend.
Here's the page for Barbie's team.
(She's also running the Chicago Marathon this year, although there's no fund-raising element attached to that. She's just doing it to do it because bitch be crazy.)
Thanks so much for helping to support this worthy cause!

Just because you run marathons doesn't mean you're crazy...It just means you have to write more books for me to read. Then I wouldn't have to run so much!

I just thought of a caption. "It's a pile of dog-sheet". It won't count but whatever.

Funny trainer story. My boyfriend is a personal trainer and when we first started dating, my theory was that calories eaten in his presence did not count, since was fitness personified. We enjoyed endless desserts, meals out, late night pizzas, LOTS of alcohol... it was pretty much heaven! Now a year and a half later (and 10 lbs heavier) I realize that as much as he makes my heart race, my metabolism just didn't follow :)
And before anyone comments -- no, he does not train me -- do you really want your boyfriend nitpicking about your squat form as your makeup is pouring off your face, your golden highlights are plastered to your head with sweat and you're donning pit stains resembling lake eerie? didn't think so :)

Good luck with the caption choosing! I just finished "Bitter" and LOVED IT! I'm in awe of your writing prowess. Can't wait to start "Bright Lights".

In the name of athleticism and good deeds, I'd just like to remind everyone that today is Miracle Treat Day at Dairy Queen! (Or, as I like to call it, Guilt-Free Ice Cream Binge Day.)
So go ahead and jog yourself down to DQ and get a Blizzard for a good cause! Good deeds are even better when they're coupled with delicious, ice creamy goodness, after all.

Hurray for the 3-Day! I did it last year in Chicago, and like Smartass Milf, it was truly the most amazing, life-changing event I have EVER been a part of - emotionally, physcially, spiritually. I love these events and I love this cause, and now since I'm absolutely in love with Jen and her humor and her books, I'm so excited to see her promote it! Jen - you could TOTALLY do this, by the way - 60 miles is a LONG way, but especially if you have someone who knows what they are doing, anyone can accomplish this! My team and I are on board to do it again next year in San Diego....Go 3-Day Walkers! And thanks, Jen, for bringing the word to the masses....

That's great that Barbie's doing the 3-day! I did it last year in Dallas and it is the most amazing thing I have ever participated in! Even though I was there for more of a personal challenge, I was so affected by the stories of breast cancer survivors, and women who had lost friends or family to breast cancer. It's honestly such an amazing thing. I know I said that already but its just really hard to explain the whole experience. If you ever have the opportunity to do it, its definitely worth it. Besides it being for a good cause, it will absolutely touch your heart. I wish I could do it again this year, but I'm back in school so there isn't much time for fundraising and training. Barbie will have a great time. Its absolutely awesome.

Better her than me, although I am going to attempt this walk next year. I gave her a donation since I am still too lazy this year. :)

You know, when I read about Barbie in your book, I thought maybe you were exaggerating her athleticism a tiny bit just to be funny. Now I see that perhaps you actually toned her down. You're right, bitch be quite crazy. I might have to eat a Twinkie in her honor.

As long as she's not making you do it with her, I'm in! :) Will you meet her at the finish line with a tasty beverage?
