And no, you don't have to come in your '80s finest, but come on, how much more fun will that be?
Also, if you see any of the above information in conflict with what's listed at your local bookstore (e.g. event not yet listed for the BPL) or if I'm a dummy who can't properly copy an address, please me know.
Thanks and see you soon... in plaid!

B&N will be selling books in the BPL. No need to BYOPIP.

Also, spell check. For me, not you.

I am full of 20 kinds of excitability over you being in Atlanta. Every time I go into Macy's I see Kate Spade dishware and I think of you. And then my friend Michelle and I talk about how if she and I could ever actually afford Kate Space plates we'd never actually eat off them because they'd be too nice for that. We'd have to but a china cabinet to keep them in and then tell company we only bust them out for "special occasions" when really we use paper plates at every holiday gathering.

Why can't you come to the Eastern Shore of Maryland? or "stuck in the middle of nowhere and going to die in a nuclear war" as I call it.
I just found your first book and I loved it! Really fabulous. Wish I had found your blog years ago. Your what I love about blogging and writers.
Posted by: aimee | April 27, 2009 at 08:11 PM
Safe travels Jen, I can't wait to see you in Boston!
(And even though you're super busy you should try to get out and have some chowdah at the bah).
Posted by: madelyne | April 27, 2009 at 07:52 PM
Yeah, I have the same question as Kelly. Will the book be on sale at the Boston Library, or will we have to BYOB?
Posted by: Asma | April 27, 2009 at 04:10 PM
Okay, so I was actually born in the 80's and won't be able to wear any clothing of said era from my own past, but I will be there in my popped collar and plaid. Thank God you keep your hometown as a stop on your book tour! I will be dragging my friends there in full 80's couture as well. See you on May 28th!
Posted by: Michala | April 27, 2009 at 03:38 PM
Ummm Jen? I am tired just looking at that schedule.
If your agent wants to give you a "little something" to keep you awake -- JUST SAY NO! (not that your agent is Dr. Robert or anything, but this is how celebs go bad.)
Jusat remember -- you are a role model. Millions of girls aged 30-50 look up to YOU every day. That's all I am saying.

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO excited you're coming to the D AND that I'm actually able to go! My sis and I have blocked that whole day so nothing interferes with us going.
ps...does anyone know where you even buy jelly bracelets anymore? I used to have a TON of them.
Posted by: Nadia | April 27, 2009 at 12:58 PM
What about Canada? How come you never come to Canada? We love you too!
Come to Toronto!
Posted by: StephfromCanada | April 27, 2009 at 12:26 PM
Can't wait to see you in NYC - on my birthday!
Posted by: Jessie | April 27, 2009 at 11:56 AM
OMG!!!! I think I can make it to Fox Point!!!
(so much easier than going down town) I have to go and plan my pink & green outfit!!!!
I...am...TOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: DanceMom | April 27, 2009 at 09:41 AM
Can I just say, that even though I saw you in Portland last year, I'm all a-flutter again! I swear, it's like ccrack--you plus Powell's equals bookgasms. Tons of them!
Whether I can muster up some eighties glory remains to be seen. I retch every time I see a pair of skinny, acid-washed, zippered ankles-with-the-bows jeans....
Posted by: Shannon | April 27, 2009 at 01:38 AM
Portland + Powell's = Pretty in Plaid perfection. Can't frickin' wait. Collars are already popped, and a madras skirt awaits. now, if I could just find my Candie's white strappy sandles!
Posted by: Julie | April 26, 2009 at 11:43 PM
So excited you're coming to Dallas again! You're like a belated birthday present!
Posted by: Kelley | April 26, 2009 at 10:48 PM
I'm so excited to be at your kickoff event in Birmingham! It's going to be amazing! The Aqua Net and 80s accessories (and hopefully crimped hair) will be out in full-force!
Posted by: Krissy | April 26, 2009 at 10:08 PM
May 13 in Huntersville, I will be there as preppy as possible! You rock!!

When are you coming to Florida
Posted by: Amanda | April 26, 2009 at 08:55 PM
See ya in Atlanta Jen! I'm flying in from South Florida to see you. And keep in mind for the next book tour...there IS a Pennisula south of Georgia. So come visit us in Florida next time, girl!!
Posted by: GreenEyedGirl | April 26, 2009 at 07:51 PM
HOLY ASS CRACKERS!
You are coming to Atlanta literally 2 days before I leave the state.
Forever.
It's mother-fucking fate.
Posted by: MonsteRawr | April 26, 2009 at 07:33 PM
See you in Beantown. I'm just praying my sister doesn't go in to labor until May 7th so she can come too!
Can't wait to read the new book!
Posted by: Kathleen | April 26, 2009 at 03:10 PM
I agree with Jennifer and Andrea. The fact that there are no Canadian dates is just plain wrong.
Porter Airlines now flies direct Midway to downtown Toronto and they are absolutely fantastic!
There is no reason why there can't be at least one Canadian date on the tour.
Posted by: Angie | April 26, 2009 at 03:08 PM
Arrgh! Don't care, still going to whine - wish you were coming to NJ!!
(First time commenter to your blog, just have to say that I thought I was the only one whose dog smelled faintly of corn chips until I read your books.)
Love you!
Posted by: Theresa | April 26, 2009 at 02:00 PM
STILL no Florida dates, its as if the world drops off at Georgia, no one ever comes here!!!
Posted by: Tara Crosier | April 26, 2009 at 01:34 PM
When are you headed to the Phoenix area? I think you are awesome!
Posted by: krissy | April 26, 2009 at 12:32 PM
Eeeek! I think I might be able to swing for the Huntersville stop. Looking forward to it and good luck with your tour. Xoxo-BLC
Posted by: BLC | April 26, 2009 at 11:29 AM
Whoops, ok I see the Chicago date now -- sorry, haven't had my coffee yet!
Posted by: Cathy O | April 26, 2009 at 10:16 AM
Did I miss the Chicago date???
Posted by: Cathy O | April 26, 2009 at 10:15 AM
OMG what a schedule! It looks like you will barely have time to breathe, much less sleep, eat, etc. during this tour. I hope you can squeeze in a little fun too!
Posted by: Jennifer | April 26, 2009 at 08:51 AM
Seriously....Canada...think about it....population 33, 212, 696!!! Population of Toronto, Ontario - 5.5 million!!! And we buy books!!! In fact we buy YOUR books!!!!!
Consider coming.....please!
Posted by: nicole magson | April 26, 2009 at 08:48 AM
I haven't read any of your books yet, but I am dying too! How much fun are you? Aqua net hairspray... I can almost smell it if I squeeze my eyes shut tight!
Posted by: Life with Kaishon | April 26, 2009 at 08:08 AM
You just made my day! I'm so excited you are coming to Huntington Beach, CA! I wonder if I can find a cute pair of jelly shoes to wear??!!
Posted by: Shelly | April 25, 2009 at 09:48 PM
YAY! Atlanta. I'll try to find my old "crimper" iron for my hair just for the special event. :)
Posted by: Sara in Hotlanta | April 25, 2009 at 08:54 PM
Is B&N selling the book at the Boston Public Library or do we get it the day before?
Posted by: Kelly | April 25, 2009 at 07:11 PM
I feel so bad for you. You are all over this country but it will be nice to see you in California. Try and have fun and get some rest.
Posted by: Jennifer Bridges | April 25, 2009 at 06:53 PM
Unbelieveable that yet AGAIN this year, I will be out of town on business when you're in Dallas! Augghh! And the other irony is, I'll be in Houston on business the day AFTER you're in Houston. AUUGGHHH! Maybe next year. You know I'll still be buying the book though....
Posted by: Karen Mc in Dallas | April 25, 2009 at 05:54 PM
Wish you could come up to Alaska!
Posted by: Elizabeth | April 25, 2009 at 04:35 PM
didn't "they" decide that aerosol spray did not cause the hole in the ozone? I feel like I read that somewhere.
Posted by: Amanda | April 25, 2009 at 04:24 PM
I cannot wait. San Francisco - May 20 - I am there! Just gotta cut out of work early. :)
Posted by: Les | April 25, 2009 at 03:20 PM
Sara, you gave me a small heart attack. You're right, Google maps identifies the NC store as Borders, but it's definitely a B&N. If you look at the street view, you can even see the sign.. But thank you for checking!
Posted by: the governor of jennsylvania | April 25, 2009 at 02:32 PM
YES - May 26th in Minnesota!! You are coming the day after Labor Day. Hope you are coming up early to do some major power shopping at the Mall of America - if you can't find a new handbag there then you REALLY don't need one!!!!
Posted by: Deb Sylvester | April 25, 2009 at 01:48 PM
Why no Philadelphia? Booooo!
Posted by: Jessica | April 25, 2009 at 11:50 AM
Oh my gosh Jen--I feel EXHAUSTED just reading this crazy schedule of yours! Whew!
Posted by: Manic Mommy | April 25, 2009 at 11:22 AM
Apparently, I am going to be skipping my first class of spring semester on 5/5 so I can be in Birmingham. Fantastic!
Someone said they'd try to bring cupcakes, but what about margaritas? It is Cinco de Mayo, after all!
Posted by: Andrea | April 25, 2009 at 10:35 AM
Jen - Porter Airlines now flies direct Midway to downtown Toronto.
SERIOUSLY ... you need to come see us in Canada - we love you here !!!

Posted by: Emily | April 25, 2009 at 10:06 AM
There are no words for how excited I am that you're coming to Milwaukee!!! And to the bookstore ten minutes from my house. It's like Christmas wrapped in my birthday!
Posted by: Kim | April 25, 2009 at 09:43 AM
